John Springer – Brought Fall Turkey Race Regatta Trophy to get it engraved. Didn’t have a winner entered for 2022. Everyone agreed it was probably canceled due to weather.

Old Business

Slip Waiting List:

David Kinsey – Not sure if boat would fit in any of the slips.

Steve Lowe – Inner larger slip should one become available.

New Business

Discussion Annual Meeting and Agenda:

Reservations were confirmed for a private room and Roma’s Restaurant in Tyler, with activities starting at 5:30 pm.

The agenda for the annual meeting will be finalized through emails.

Ideals for 2024 Including Races, Socials and recruiting New Members:

One of the suggestions was more joint events with Tyler Yacht Club.

The Third Friday’s Social can be done as they were last year with a member sponsoring an event, either at a restaurant or hosting at a location of their choosing. Both John Springer and Peter Pitonak said they would be able to host their respected events. Peter Pitonak also volunteered sent out the communications for the social events.

Overnights at the docks after dock parties was another suggestion.

Tentative dates were set for the Spring Fling Cup race for April 13th, and for the Turkey Race Regatta on November 16th. Any other events will be determined later.

Discussion on Barge Trailer:

Steve Lowe reported the barge trailer is currently located at Ben Hooks business location in a locked yard. Ben Hooks is fine with keeping it there. The trailer still needs a tongue jack and tires in case it is needed to haul the barge out for some reason. It has been agreed to wait on new tires, as they would probably suffer dry rot before the trailer is used.

Possible New Members for 2024:

Ashley Tackett will collect possible new members email addresses so they can be invited to the Annual Meeting.

Nat Hart suggested a member could sponsor any new members to help integrate them into the club.

Date and Time of Annual Meeting:

The annual meeting on January 20th location was confirmed for Roma’s Restaurant starting at 5:30 pm.

No monthly meeting was scheduled for January, as any remaining details for the annual meeting could be worked out via emails.

Adjournment:

Motion to adjourn by acclimation.
